A lot of people who meet me say I am calm, collected, and easy-going. This wasn't always the case! I have come a long way since beginning my mindfulness journey 5 years ago. I used to experience high levels of stress, worry, and anxiety. I was easily stressed over little things, constantly worrying about the future, fearing things that mostly never happened; I was irritable, anxious, unhappy. This all began to change once I discovered mindfulness and committed to a daily practice. I used mindfulness to make permanent, positive changes in my thinking and actions. Mindful living is now a core part of my life and I believe it is one of the key factors that allows me to live with more peace, joy, and freedom than ever before.
My hope is that you find something of value here at Self Set Free Living that will assist you to live with greater presence and freedom. I hope you can also experience the positive benefits of mindfulness and join me in living more mindfully.

Stephanie Beauverd (BSocSi(Psych), GradDipCouns) is a university-trained Counsellor and Mindfulness Meditation Teacher with a background in psychology and mental health. As a professional Counsellor, Stephanie specialises in working with women who experience any form of stress, anxiety, and/or depression. As a registered member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists, Stephanie adheres to their Code of Ethics and undergoes regular supervision.
Stephanie has worked in a number of roles over many years as a counsellor within the mental health sector in Australia, assisting people to manage their mental health issues, as well as overcome stress to live a peaceful, fulfilled life.
In 2013 Stephanie completed a Graduate Diploma in Mindfulness Therapy and shortly after, began teaching mindfulness to individuals and groups. She has studied and practised many different meditation styles, a mix of both Western and Eastern approaches. Stephanie has also undertaken advanced mindfulness courses, including silent meditation retreats, in both Australia and India. Stephanie is also a registered Yoga Teacher ( 200hours RYT).
